Join Dr Jen Rae and Claire G. Coleman (Noongar) for this special networking event, designed to bolster inclusive collaboration and creative leadership in climate emergency response and action.
This event features a film screening of speculative climate futures short film Refugium and a knowledge circle led by Rae and Coleman. Join other local creatives, changemakers and concerned community members for this unique opportunity to learn how First Nations knowledge systems can shift the paradigm of climate emergency engagement and disaster resilience.
The Centre for Reworlding is a project by ‘The Reworlders’ - a collective of Indigenous, people of colour, settler and LGBTIQA2S+ artists, scientists, thinkers and change-makers. Their work includes prioritising the mainstream integration of arts and culture in national climate emergency discourses, policy frameworks and all-years education.
This event is part of Yarra Ranges Council’s ‘Creative Recovery Preparedness Project’ which aims to build a network of creative responders throughout the region.
This initiative is funded by the Australian Government under the PHN program.
